Every Plantable Rakhi is handcrafted with care in Varanasi by a group of women artisans led by Mrs. Sunita Singh, who has been associated with Scrapshala's Plantable Rakhi initiative for over seven years. Your purchase supports the livelihood of a close-knit team of five to six artisans, helping preserve traditional craftsmanship through sustainable handmade products.
The Mango Wood Planter is handcrafted by skilled woodworkers in Varanasi using reclaimed wood, while the Coconut Shell Keychain is made by artisan groups in Kerala, where coconut shell craftsmanship has been practised for generations. Together, these makers transform reclaimed and natural materials into meaningful products that celebrate India's rich craft heritage.
